Death Cert question

Not ever having ordered a death cert before, can someone tell me if maiden names are included, and or whether previously married?

Is it an English or Welsh cert you're interested in? If so, then not usually. You might find these certificate tutorials useful

English actually. I know Australian ones include parents names for females. Thanks anyway. Great name BTW!!! LOL!

Death certs can be bit of a gamble, but with regard to maiden name, it's possible to strike lucky if the informant is a parent, brother or unmarried sister. Even if the relationship isn't stated, it can provide a lead.

They can also be something of a curse too!

My G. Grandfather's sister died young in 1875 and the informant was a cousin. 25 years later still haven't managed to find the family link.
