    Hi I have tried google but cant come up with any thing, can any one telll me what a ashphalter did

    On one of the certificates it has road ashphalter

    He would lay Tarmac (Ashphelt) on the roads and flatten it with a road roller

        You probably cannot find it as it is still a current job, it's what one of my mates job title is!!

          Hi - over here in Qld they call it asphalt and you rarely hear tarmac mentioned...

            Tarmac (short for tarmacadam) and asphalt are two different things. Tarmac is a mixture of tar and stones. Asphalt is a natural tarry substance originally "mined" from an asphalt "lake" in Trinidad. Hence the Trinidad Lake Asphalt Company. These days there is more science to road surfaces.
