What causes a program to stop working....?

My serif digital scrapbook artist program has suddenly stopped working. I have checked all properties and everything is as it always was. I have no idea why it now refuses to open.
Can anyone offer any help please?

Could be a multitide of reasons Jen.

Dave suggests you uninstall it and then reinstall and see if it opens OK.

That's what I thought Wendy but I think I may have downloaded it from the daisytrail site originally last september. It's never given me any trouble until now. DIL recently downloaded the same program so I will check with her to make sure thats what I did......I may have to contact them. Thanks anyway Wendy & Dave.
