  • What happened to James Margerum?

My OH's Grandmother had an elder brother James Allen Margerum. He was born 1874 Weeley, Essex, to Parents - James and Emma Margerum.

1881 -1901 Census - he is unmarried, living with parents at 45 Thorpe Road, Weeley, Essex

1911 census - parents still at same address, no sign of James.

Both parents died in January 1931. James did not attend Mother's funeral. All other family members did, even those who came over from Canada.

Can't find a death for him either.

Can anyone find either his death, or anything which can help me track him down.
    Wendy

I suppose he could have joined the army late in life. His brother Percy doesn't show on the 1911 either, and I know he was killed at Gallipolo.
