  • Can anybody find this lady in 1851 or her death before?

Christiana Keen (this is her married name )born 1791 Middlesex a widow in 1841 living in Maidenhead Court St Giles without Cripplegate with her Sons and families , cannot find her in the 1851 census or her death after that.
I do know her husband died in 1838.
    Thanks

Banns is what happens before you get married. The vicar announces to the congregation 3 Sundays on the trot that X and Y intend to get married. So anyone who has any adverse information can turn up and stop the wedding.

            Hi Val,

Could the Christiana transcribed as Green be her. The image could be Keen. Born 1786 (ie within 5 yrs of the 1841 age) in Aldersgate. Head, widow, on her own at 10 Pleasant Row, Shoreditch.

            HO107/1534 folio 264 page 52 (I think)

Could this be her death in Dec. qtr 1866?

                Shoreditch 1c 145

                Christiana Keen age 86

I know the age is slightly out, but that all depends on the knowledge of the informant.

Hi Val, this is probably a longshot....but could she be the Christiana Kuhn who married Q4 1850 at Whitechapel II 637?

If she had remarried this would account for why you can't find her in the 1851 census and the death records under the surname Keen.

                    Cheers,

No Val, I've just double checked and Christiana Kuhn was a spinster, not a widow - and her father's name was Crispin Kuhn (I think it says Crispin)
                      she married Anten Grasman

It is still a feasible thought though, that she may have remarried, which is why you have lost track of her. I had a good look, but couldn't find a marriage for a Christiana Keen which would fit unfortunately. I looked on ancestry - maybe someone else could look elsewhere.
