  • Navy question

Does anyone know if there are there any records anywhere on naval ships during WW2?

What they were doing, where they went etc etc ....... nothing top secret .... just ordinary sort of naval stuff.
    (I know what I mean .....! ;D)

Everything on line seems to be really vague.

It depends what you want to find out, but the link to "Ships and their fate" looks interesting on our Royal Navy wiki page.

        Thanks, I'll look at those.

I'm particularly interested in a ship my grandfather was on that sank. I'm certain it was a supply/hospital ship, well out of any battle arena, and in a semi-permanent shore mooring, so gawd knows how it sank! ;D (or what my grandfather was doing on it in the first place).

There's nothing about it online, so presumably it sank by accident - but I would like to know the details.
