Converting a scanned bible from pdf to jpg

I have a page from a bible which was scanned. It needs to be tidied up, straightened, made darker - so I want to convert it to jpg (forgotten how to do it)

Can someone help please?

Open the pdf in a graphics program, save as jpg.
