Ancestry Birth search problem

I am searching for any births from 1926 onwards for which I know the surname and the MMN. There is no facility to put years +/- so I started with 1926. There is no birth for a child to this couple in 1926 - 1927 etc. Do I have to keep going from year to year? Or would any birth say in 1932 show up if the right names were there please?

As long as you put the surname and mother's maiden name then all births with that combination will show. No need to enter a year.

No I haven't Val - are you thinking of mistranscriptions or illegitimate births?
