    hope the link work

    a cousin of my husband sent me this photo

    we have no idea who he is
    i have found any phil armstrong killed in ww1

    so we are looking for any clues

    Looks like he was a Second Lieutenant in a Fusilier Regiment however which one is the question. If you could post up a high res' image of the cap badge it might help in saying which one it was.

        Sorry Tink it is still none too clear when I view it and it could be one of many. Are you quite sure that Armstrong is the surname?

          another surname could be helyer

            It could be the RF City of London but it greatly depends on what is shown on the centre of the badge, how many flames and also which way they are facing/pointing . The badge of the RF City of London Regiment had a rose set within a garter in the main body of the badge, and within the confines of the garter there would be a motto.
