Val, when I search for addresses on FMP I generally only put the place name and county in - you are then given an alphabetical lists of all road/streets in that place and it is fairly easy to scroll through to look for the one you want.
I find it difficult using the street name in the search because you are never quite sure how it may have been recorded - searching via place generally gives me what I am looking for.
For example, on your 1891 census above, if you had just entered Kensington in the residential place box and clicked search, you would have been given 15 pages of street names. Click through to page 14 and you will see St Mary Abbotts Terrace in the listing.Elaine

I'm getting my knickers in a twist here as I now know she was in kensington in 1891 not sure which death to go for there is a death for a Elizabeth Jeffs Wallis in Kensington in 1891 June quarter born 1813 but dont know where the Jeffs bit came from ?
The 1894 one was for Kettering Northampton ?

The Kensington entry could refer to this Elizabeth Wallis - born around the same time and living in Kensington in 1891
Might be worth checking to see if she is still around in 1901 - so as to help eliminate her. If she is not then maybe try to trace her back a bit to see if you can see a Jeffs connection, again to try to eliminate her.Elaine

as far as I knew Elaine she never had any middle names ??? they arent on any of the other census records or her marriage ??? funny enough after you found that I went on FMP and found her under the name Elizabeth I Wallis in 1891 and if you look closely that does look right ,she was Elizabeth Ivy before she married,

Annie Elizabeth Wallis is living with her mum in 1881 in Islington ,and Annie died at the address in Kensington so I know thats right and I did notice there is a Nurse living with them in 1891 possibly to look after Elizabeth ??
and Annie is by herself in 1901 .
