Hi all,
I've looked all the places I can think of online but the information is not specific. My G-grandparents' marriage certificate from 1917 states:
1917, Marriage solemnized at the Parish Church in the Parish of St James Croydon in the county of Surrey.
I thought this would be an easy find, but even croydononline dot org doesn't list a church named St James. The website for the Parish Church in Croydon doesn't seem to be St James...
If anyone could shed any light, or find it for me, I'd be very grateful.
Many thanks
Rachel
P.S. Just found Croydon is one of the few places that has the records from the 1801 census, cool! (although my family only moved there in 1900's but its cool nonetheless!)
