  • advice please regarding a death

    I have a man born 1886 dec qtr in Liverpool...he marries in 1905 aged 18....I can`t find his death at all...if he died in WW1 would he still be registered on freebmd or would I have to look on CWGC ?.....THANKS....ALLAN

    You would need to check on the CWGC if he died abroad, or in the overseas BMD index on FindmyPast or Family Relatives - both pay per view!

        If you have found a CWGC entry, complete with army number, can you find that chap on Ancestry in WW1 service records?
        If so, that may either confirm or eliminate him.
