Thanks Val, yes, i done this a few days ago along with clearing the files,, i have been googling and it appears to have something to do with "CSS" document.

Which browser are you using? Which of the site styles are you using?

The CSS is all about how the pages look, so shouldn't cause you great problems in loading unless your browser is unusual or an older version and it is spending it's time objecting hence the slower loading, but Tim will know more when he is around. But it is highly unlikely to be a nasty that you need to worry about.

            Thanks Caroline.

I'm using Firefox version 3.0.16 - on windows xp, i'm using the lilac background. This was happening before the upgrade to the site, its just so distracting.

Will hang on until Tim gets some time, i know he must be sooo busy with the site and other commitments.

You are using an old version of Firefox - latest version is 3.5.6.
              Might be worth upgrading.

As Elaine says, I would definitely upgrade the browser - with luck, that will sort things out for you.

Just had a look myself and there do seems to be many errors in the CSS code.

Tim will have to have a look at some point... http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/v...ning=2&lang=en

EDIT: Have PM'd tim to make him aware of thread.

The errors are much the same as those on the VBulletin Community Forum itself, so not specific to here, so I don't think Tim or the rest of us need to worry overmuch. :D :D :D :D

http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/ will take you to the download page.

It should just update what you are using, as you are using FF3 already.

OH NO...............It's started again, i pressed onto the link Val provided on Chrissie's thread....and off again it went...
I notice when this happens, the sides of the page sometimes loads a little slower than the rest of the page

Hope i've found the culprit this time.........Lol

When i got my status bar on the bottom of the page, i could see FTF was transferring data to google and visa versa. I googled to see what was going on and, it said it causes the pages to keep loading and slows you down, it advised to get rid of the DNS CLIENT in the "services editor". I have done this and it seems to have settled down - fingers crossed. I hope i've done the right thing here. I will have a chat with our IT man in work tomorrow to see how i managed to get this on my computer.
