  • Looking for Birth records of the Farenden's

The link below shows the 1871 census record for the Farenden family.

Their surname has been transcribed incorrectly in many ways over the years.

I am looking for birth entires for the children.

I have mary ann in Islington West dated 18 Oct 1866 but can not locate the others.

    Can anyone see them?

    Thanks for looking.

thanks for looking thomas and george are two I am very interested in finding becuase I have an 1891 & 1901 census record for a James Farenden born 1863 Islington, London which I think should be part of this family and I cant find his birth either so I had hoped If I could locate the brothers I would be able to find James as well.

It looks as though Florence died -

Have you seen the family that you gave us the link for in 1891 - just before James died in 1894? On that one it says that James was born in Bognor!!

George is now married and living next door but one.

I wonder if this is the Christening for the Bognor one (found on Family Search) -

JAMES FARENDEN - Christening: 17 FEB 1828 South Bersted, Sussex, England
Parents - Father: WILLIAM FARENDEN - Mother - LOUISA

It seems strange that you say the son James is listed on his death cert as there doesn't seem to be a son James born 1863. Was the death cert for 1894?

Yes thank you to you all - I think all the info you have worked out is correct - I wonder where the birth entry for george is?

I think James Ferenden in pancras in 1862 is prob Thomas. I will order birth cert and take a look.
