  • Remember my George Arthur Miller ???

I had got his Death cert but wasnt sure it was him ???
well got his Marriage Cert today for June 1960 and it all looks good right age right Father but

Wife says Jessie Mathews aged 61 formerly known as Florence Ellen Mathews previous Marriage disolved Father George Young deceased Fishmonger ???

does this mean the First Marriage was bigamous ???

and who do I look for in the Census Florence or Jessie Mathews or Young ????

Have found a George Young a Fishmonger but wouldn't you know it he is a visitor in 1901 in Twickenham ? no Daughter with him
    Any ideas thanks

previous marriage dissolved means divorced Val.

so to me that would say her previous married name was Matthews and her mn was young.

thats how i'd read it anyway

I've just noticed that the scribe for the Register has presumed the double-T in Matthews, but the groom has signed Mathews - single-T.

That means the Post Office writing assistant may not be yours.
