  • Help needed finding a newspaper report.

My cousin has just found a pic of our great grandfather, William Clarke, on a steam engine at the opening of the Railway Convalescent Home in Herne Bay. When I googled this, I discovered that it was opened on 8th June 1901 by Sir Henry Cambell Bannerman, who later became the PM. I would love to see if this was reported in the papers & wondered if anyone could access the Times online, to check for me please? Also does anyone know where I could find Herne Bay newspapers?

    Many thanks
    Lynn

Hi - Herne Bay Library might be able to assist re; newspapers at the time -
        hernebaylibrary@kent.gov.uk
There is also a Herne Bay Historical Records Society if you google the name..it gives a persons name, address and a tel number.
