  • Advice on a death reg please?

I have been trying to find the death of a George Arthur Miller born 9 May 1899 I know he was alive in the 60s in the Brixton area
Have trawled through all the deaths and the only likely one is
George Arthur Miller died 1977 in Southwark but born 10 May 1900
I know its possible to get a wrong birth date ??
And his girlfriend would not have probably known his true birthday.
Would you say its likely to be him ??? thanks

The info that is given on the death cert is only as reliable as the person giving it,

it is possible that whoever registered the death didnt know the actual year and guessed,

do you know if he married at all Val? do you have his Birth cert?

hi Julie yes have his Birth Cert and he did marry but he divorced her after he came home one day to find one of his Brothers getting too friendly .
I know he had a much older lady friend who he lived with so she may not have known his right birth or even may have died before him so the person who informed may not have known it either , had the same thing with my Father the lady who was the informant was a year or two out .
Thing is I already got two wrong ones for him and dont want to waste any more money ,but hes the only one of my Fathers siblings I dont know what happened to.

          Brixton is in Lambeth.

Southwark covers an area that isn't that far away so it may be that he died in a hospital there?
