Anyone up for a puzzle??
There are a couple of Edwin BENNETTs born in Leicestershire in the 1834 - 1838 sort of time-range.
One had parents George & Martha and was born in North Kilworth:
One had parents William and Elizabeth and was born in Leicester:
There's a death registration: 1859 q3 Loughboro' 7a-71 (no age, of course)
I can't find a North Kilworth burial on my Leics FHS CD database of parish register records (which would cover the date, I would think).
There's an Edwin BENNETT who emigrated from Leicestershire to New Zealand:
It's reckoned that one or other of the first two is the same as the NZ Edwin. I can't find either the Leicester one or the North Kilworth one in 1861† or 1871. These Edwins aren't in my direct line, so I don't really want to be shelling out on a "maybe" death cert (the 1859 Loughboro' one).
Any Ideas??? :conf:
The age favours the Leicester one, but the occupation favours the North Kilworth one.

† I have been through pages of Hits in FMP (male b Leicestershire 1835 ±3) - and submitted enough corrections (some multiple) while I was at it, to have generated 50 acknowledgments from FMP to my e-address today!
