Usa census

someone researching the hughes family from north wales emailed me on genes reunited asking if we had the same william hughes, who was a plasterer, in comman. He sent me a newspaper clip froma welsh paper for me to translate. I translated it and for a short translate, the main points it says "hugh s hughes son of william hughes, plasterer died may 4th in steuban street, utica, new york.
died, fell into ditch/lake after hitting his head on wood.
age 26
been living in the city for 7 months with a wife" my only problem is the date is not on it!

has anyone got access to the usa census?
id like to look into it to either confirm or discard it, you know?

Sorry, your clip is too small to read. What census are you wanting a look at? and where in the US would Hugh have been living?

he would be living at steuban street, utica, new york. He was 26 years old and had been living there for 7 months with his wife. I need to go through the census to check what year as i dont know it but it would be between 1850 to 1901 i think

its ok the newspaper is in welsh just want to include it as thats where i got the info from

Could you make contact with the person again who madecontact with you and ask them what other info they have. They must have more definate names to be asking you.

I've been trawling the census but its a bit hard without a definate YOB.

Wednesday, May 27, 1891. which would means "hugh s hughes" would have been born around 1865
