    evening folks,

I have Henry LYDALL b.1832 Whitwick Leics,

    - Ancestry.co.uk

    Class: HO107; Piece: 2085; Folio: 452; Page: 4; GSU roll: 87712.

in the 1851 he is a Needlemakers Apprentice

I have found him on the 1851, but cannot find him on 1861. (I think, havent found a marriage yet!) he married a Lucy ? same age.

I have found them on the 1870 census in Connecticut, (as a Needle Manufacturer) there are two children supposedly born in the UK.

Anna LYDALL b.1853 dont know where!
Charles LYDALL b.1855 again dont know where. (just states England on 1870 census, real helpful)

any help would be greatful thanks

I think it is Bernice - can see her on the 1910, 1920 and 1930 census.

oh, yea.. why didnt I think of looking there.. I did find something rather tantalising though...

is an area originally referred to as the Parkerville Section of the Town of Manchester. The building was built in 1901 and was used as one of the original paper mills for the Lydall and Foulds Paper Company. We are pleased to be settling in a part of Manchester known for the location of historical businesses.

now the thing is, I have found a tree on Ancestry, BUT it gives Henrys parents as John and Elizabeth. I will have to get my fiche out now and have a look to see if I do have bapts for that time period. (I have found another Henry with the parents as above, but he died aged about 2yrs) so I'm wondering if someone has attached this one to the wrong parents.

am I barking mad? and reading too much into it?
