        HI

        Cath

What in particular are you hoping to find? That is if you don't mind me asking.

          Hi Wendy,

I've just read an article from the Bolton Evening news archive about a musician/composer by the name of Andrew Norrie Allen which mentions a Daily Sketch story in 1934 about Florrie Forde (music hall artiste)

In 1934, the Daily Sketch carried a story about the day Florrie Forde sat Andrew down at a piano in Blackpool in the hope that it would help to revive him.
But he "sat there, sunk into himself, sweeping a hand over the keys meaninglessly."
Florrie Forde was quoted as saying: "It is a real tragedy and it makes one's heart ache.
          "

I would love to read the whole article if I can find it.
          Cath.

            HI

What a wonderful find are you connected in any to either person?

I do hope you manage to find a bit more on that particular story.

              Hi Wendy,

Andrew Norrie Allen appears to have been my father's cousin. The Bolton Evening News article seems to contain a few "family legends" but if I can see the Sketches story it should be more factual.
