  • William and Jane Weaving - can anyone find them in 1841?

I am trying to find William Weaving and his wife Jane, both born c1780, on the 1841 census in or around Hounslow, Middlesex. I do not know where they were born, only that their daughter was baptised in Cranford, near Heston, Middlesex.

I've looked until I'm cross-eyed with no luck. Can anyone find them?

I have found two burials which I believe to be theirs.

William Weaving buried 5/12/1852 St Paul, Hounslow Heath, Middlesex

Jane Weaving buried 6/12/1857 St Paul, Hounslow Heath, Middlesex

    Hi Wendy,
I can't see them in 1841 but here they are in 1851

    HO107/1698/F282/p15
    High Street, Isleworth, Middlesex
William Weavin 69 Head Labourer receiving Relief -, Middlesex
Jane Weavin 62 wife Laundress -, Oxfordshire

I looked at the image of the original page and the name was written without the g at the end.

    Hope this helps,
    Emeltee

                How about:
                HO107; Piece 658; Book: 7; Folio: 9; Page: 11;
                Iselworth High Street

The two at the bottom of the left-hand page.

They're William and Jane - both 60, but both b in county.
Transcribed on Ancestry as "WUNEND" (on FMP as "BERNERD"). Ancestry image is better than FMP's, I reckon.

I found that Isleworth High Street didn't take up many pages. Since they were there in 1851, I thought it would be worth trawling the few pages to see if they were there (and mistranscribed) in 1841.

The image is so faint that it really isn't certain, but the combination of most of the data seemed promising.
