Family Tree Maker 2010 help please

Please can someone tell my why when I try to look at places it comes up with error then no internet connection available which is wrong as I am connected. Only started with it yesterday so very new to Family Tree Maker I only had my tree on Ancestry before. Thank you.

I've just looked at my 2010 FTM.. in the file menue, does it show go online? If it does, try clicking it and you should then be connected. (it will then show as 'go off line')
