Do you know when/where she was born Tracy?
There is this 22 year old Charlotte White born in India in Chelmsford Union Workhouse -

There are also two or three Charlotte White servants in the London area. Non actually seem to say Lambeth but I'm afraid I don't know the different London areas very well.

Have you seen the baptism in the LMA records on Ancestry? The previous 2 baptisms on the same day were also shown as born late 1892 - early 1893, so I think the chaplain would have spotted a toddler in among the babes in arms. The previous bap. was also a single mother.

Off to look for likely births.

It could just be a clerical error by the chaplain. He would have filled in the register afterwards, and perhaps just wrote down the day and month on a bit of paper. I'd go with it, everything else matches up OK. Have you found them in 1901, or any matching deaths?

I don't suppose the birth certificate gives Charlotte's age.

I wonder if anyone else can point you to Lambeth workhouse records, so you can find a discharge date. If she got married, William could have been recorded with a different surname in 1901. But he would still have called himself William White when he got older. Does his marriage certificate have a father's name? Of course he could just invent it.

There is another baptism on the LMA records of a Harry White, 12 Nov 1895 - same church - St Philip Lambeth. Mother Charlotte White - address Workhouse.

Might help finding them in 1901.

Ancestry's worse than watching paint dry tonight. I wonder if we can find baptisms for the other 3 children from 1901, particularly Lil(l)y born about 1889. She's very vague about everyone's birth location, which might mean she's ashamed of her past.

EDIT: there isn't anyone matching Harry b. 1895 in the 1901 census that Elaine found.
                                      EDIT 2: He died: Lambeth q4 1895 Volume 1d Page 240 aged 0.
