  • So near and yet so far!

I am having some problems following Florence Emma Trussell life back from her marriage in 1909 in Bristol to James Holbrook.

She is shown as age 24 with father Joseph Trussell who was a Drover.

A search of birth records does not bring any possible matches. Nor did a search of the census records of 91,01

After munch digging I followed a line of thought that her mother had remarried after she was born and she took the name of her mothers 2nd husband.

This allowed me to find a family of Trussell-Websters of which Florence was one with the correct age.

But, on her marriage certificate the father is shown as Jospeh Trussell were as the census records have the father that her mother remarried as Frederick Henry Trussell a professor of Music and thefore defo not a drover.

So I guess have gone off track somewhere.

Going back to basics with just the marriage certificate info - what can I do to see if we can track her down.

Thank you the marriage was in 1909 in Bristol.

That is very interesting as the 1911 census record I have for her has her born in Islington, London.

How did I miss that - will get it ordered and

      thanks again much appreciated.

That's the right one. I had just found her in 1911, put in Islington & BINGO.

              thanks to you all again.

Yep the 1901 record is one of the reasons I knew I had gone wrong.

Now need to track the 1891 record down as the one I hold I know for sure is wrong now.
