What uniform? and Photo clean up

This is my gran when she was a baby with her parents, Harriet and Thomas, can someone please clean them up a bit? Also does anyone know what uniform thomas is wearing?

im interested in the uniform as i know thomas went to war but have no idea in which area, (if you understand me? lol) i dont even know how long he was there etc.
The only thing i know is he married in 1939 and went soon after so around 1939-1940 time. The baby in the pic, my gran, was born 1940, she was around 1 year- 18 months in the pic

Re your original question, it looks like a Royal Artillery cap badge. The uniform looks similar to this

There are loads of images on the internet of RA cap badges but I couldn't find a link to put up that wasn't advertising. If you Google, you'll find something

I can see what Night Owl means about the badge, it could well be Royal Artillery, (going cross eyed peering at it!)

At first glance I also thought RA but am unsure about the shape at the top ~ looks odd

I too think it is Royal Artillary as my father's cap badge is just like Rachel's photo only copper coloured.

Not RAF as they have wings of some sort on theirs.
