Got my family on 1901 census.

Found husband William Trotts death Camberwell 1905

Wife Jane Trott 1839 Faversham, Kent

Daughters

Mary Ann single 1865 tailoress born Battersea London
Susan " 1867 " Lambeth London
Mildred " 1870 " Battersea London

Have looked for marriages and deaths etc and can't find anything. Have done address search on 1911 from 1901 and they are not there

Can anyone help? Thanks

all i put in was her name and birth year, only two names came up

There's a Jane Trott leaving for New York in 1911 on Findmypast. The birth year is unknown. I'm not a member so I cant give you more details.

Don't think so Guy - just had a look and she is travelling with a few other trotts, none of which match up to the names given

There's a Mary Ann in the Isle of Wight as Companion who is born in Battersea.

Edit to say: right year of birth too 1865

Where was Jane Trott born because there's a Jane Trott on the Isle of Wight too right age living alone. ahhh I see you have Kent this Jane has the Isle of Wight but hey she's 75 she probably forgot!

I found a Jane Trott and a Mary Ann Trott on the Isle of Wight this Mary Ann was born in 1865 in Battersea and Jane Trott's age is correct too!

They don't live at the same address Jane is on her own and Mary Ann is a companion to a rich old dear.

Its possible these are who you are looking for and the other two either married or died or are mistransribed badly somewhere.

I think those two could be a serious possibility what was someone born in Battersea doing on the Isle of Wight!
