HI Colin
I've found your grandfather in the 1911 census living in Hucknall Torkard.
Here's the info
William Parker bn circa 1851 Thirlby Lincolnshire Occ Coal Miner Hewer
Eliza Parker bn circa 1849 Polesworth Warwickshire
Info given from them shows they've been married 8 years and no children from this relationship.WendyP

Hi Colin
Taking a look at the 1901 census for your William Parker and Hannah they have neighbours, whose wfie is called Elizabeth Fowler bn circa 1850 Polesworth Warwickshire.
On checking the marriage indexes there is a marriage in 1903 there is a Wiliam Alfred parker to an Elizabeth Fowler - could it be the smae ones or am I jumping the gun here?WendyP

Eliza dies in 1891 (according to my maths), so another marriage should happen then, (to her sister Hannah)Last edited by Darksecretz; 05-11-09, 10:13.Julie

I believe my grandad was a bit of a lad, his 2nd wife had died early in 1903
so this does alter my line of thought , Thanks Wendy Colin

Hi Colin
So your grandad first married in the 3rd quarter of 1873 in Spalding Lincolnshire to Eliza Hubbard.
then the second in 1890 to Hannah Hubbard
then if the fresh finding is correct to possilbe 1901 neighbour Elizabeth fowler in 1903WendyP

HI Colin
Your grandad William certainly seemed to live life to the full. There is a possible death entry for an Eliza Parker in the March of 1890 showing her age as 41 again this entry was in the Basford Reg District.
So again only a few months later for the remarriage to Hannah....WendyP

but of course you need to order the certificates (if you havent already got them to prove your findings)
and if there were 8 children then he would obviously need someone to look after them if he went to work, so seems very plausable that he married in such a short time.Julie
