  • Shorthand?

I've recently found my Grandmothers birthday book, and next to my Grandfathers date of death there is some writing in shorthand (a skill she picked up as a typist). I was wondering if anyone can read it if I PM them? Not much is known about the circumstances of his death and I was wondering if this could yield any clues...

If it's Pitman's shorthand, I can try and read it. I believe there's also Greig's shorthand - don't know that at all.

Hi - my mum can also read shorthand (both types I think) so if you get stuck Jenny, let me know.

I did Pitmans 2000 which is a more modern form of shorthand but my neighbour who is in her 80's was a court transcriber and still writes absolutely everything in shorthand.

She said she is more than willing to help out if you want to pm me with the details.

I can read Pitmans shorthand. Will help if I can.
