        Kat, thanks for the offer.

I don't know how easy this will be:

I have NEWBOURN WOOD marrying MARTHA POPPLE in October 1783 in Scotton Lincolnshire. I have a note that he could be from Lindsay Lincs but I don't know where the information came from. He would have been born c. 1757. He was buried on 8th Nov 1833 in St Genewys Scotton. He had married again after Martha died. I believe his parents to be Joseph and Ann, but this isn't a certainty.

Martha Popple was born in Scotton and baptised on 14 Jan 1763. Her parents were John Popple and Ann (nee Atkinson).

If you could find confirmation of any of the above I would be very grateful, but I don't expect you to trawl through lots of registers! If you find something quickly, that's great, but otherwise please don't go to too much trouble - I think the information is from the IGI.

        Many thanks.

Thanks, Kat, I didn't realise. :emb: I shall put it on my "to do" list when we get around to going to Lincoln again.

            Have a good visit. :smilee:
