  • 1841 look-up please :)

Glen (Oakum Picker) has very kindly helped me find my 5x great grandparents on my maternal line

My 5x great grandfather, Benjamin Airy, was still alive (he died in 1847) at the time of the 1841 census - can someone find him for me please?

    Many thanks,

    Rachel

        Velma

He's on Findmypast, to which I don't have a sub, in the Plomesgate Union area. Just trying to trace it on Ancestry.

You got there before me Elaine...the original enumerator was no great shakes at spelling - every single George has been written as Gorgue so no surprise that Benjamin has been mistranscribed.

            Thanks Elaine.

I wonder who Mary was, his daughter perhaps??

Pleased that he was born in Suffolk, as that narrows down where to look for his baptism! :D

Thanks for looking Carol and to Jill too for your pm...
