Wills & estates in california 1937

Hi All,
Can anyone advise if I would be able to find out what was in the will of my Great-Grandfather born in Scotland 1871 who went to Ventura, California in 1921. He died in a car accident in 1937.
I would also love to find out about his inquest but I have no idea how to go about researching either of the above.
I must add that I have a copy of the newpaper report about the accident.

Any help or advice would be gratefully received.
