Sorry, i cant help with the uniform but, i think the helmet is an "overseas"one...
I'm sure one of our experts will correct me if i'm wrong :Big Grin:

He has a Pith Helmet, which means he had served/was serving somewhere hot. I agree with Velma, if he is circa ww1, the Great War Forum is probably the best chance of getting his regiment I.D.d
