  • Anyone out there looking for KISSLINGS or looks like?

Anyone descended from KiSSLINGS, this name may be wrong but looks like, as transcribing from longhand script from the 1800s.

    Have dates of births eg
    James 1859,
    Michael 1835 28th jan,
    Charles 1852,
    Sarah 1866 April 4th,
    have more for right family

There doesn't appear to be anything in the FTF GEDCOM database.

I tried a search on ancestry (UK Heritage) for KiSSLINGS but got zero returns.

LDS was a little more successful with returns (Germany) for names similar to KiSSLINGS.

Thanks for your help, not sure if name reading right as given to me by an elderly aunt who was reading it from longhand script from the 1800,s. Would love to find someone to whom all this info belongs. At first she said it was Ke, but unless I can see the document myself I cannot say what it should be, any suggestions Lindyloo

        Linda,

you might have more luck if you can get it scanned and then ask on here for members to give their opinions, worth a shot?

and where roughly in Derbyshire are you?

i'm very close to the Derbyshire Border..
