I’m trying to find a marriage between Arthur Bradshaw and Nellie Fellows.

    I have.

Is there any way to check and verify if this is the marriage I’m looking for and which Vol. and Page # do I use?

    Thanks
    Malcolm

Arthur Bradshaw, Aston, Mar 1910, Vol. 6d Page 532
Nellie Fellows, Aston, Mar 1910, Vol. 6d Page 375

Have checked the images for these and they are both correct - so Arthur Bradshaw didn´t marry Nellie Fellows as the page numbers would have been the same.

Are you sure Nellie´s maiden name was Fellows?

      Marriages Mar 1910
      FELLOWS Nellie Aston 6d 375
HEWITT George William Aston 6d 375
      HOLDOM Minnie Aston 6d 375
      Jeffcoat Walter Aston 6d 375
      JONES Emily Effi[ea] Aston 6d 375

It looks as though Nellie Fellows married Walter Jeffcoat - at least, he's living in Aston with a Nellie in 1911.

There's also a George Hewitt living with a Minnie in Aston in 1911, so it looks as though Emily Jones is the odd one out.

Thanks for the prompt reply’s Elaine. The name is correct she was also known as Elsie but I couldn’t find anything for a Elsie Fellows.

I have been told that Arthur Bradshaw was killed in action during WW1.

You can search for Arthur's death here:

          :: CWGC ::

Have you found them on the 1911 census?

What was Arthur's year and place of birth? Where did you get Nellie/Elsie's maiden name from?

Do you know that the marriage took place in Aston in 1910 - or are you just working on that as you found a possible marriage.

Do you know of any children - which might help trace date and place of marriage.

Have you found them in the 1911 census, if so where were they living?

Elsie/Nellie is the sister of my grand aunt. I got her information age etc from the 1891 Census.

All the information on Arthur Bradshaw came from one of my grand aunts surviving sons I don’t have any dates on him.

The only reason I’m looking in the Greater Birmingham area is because that’s where the family lived for many years.

Thanks Jess I will check the 1911 marriage it has possibilities.

I just found Nellie Fellows on the 1911 census living with her brother James at Monument Rd. Birmingham.

Well I guess my 1910 marriage is out of the window.:D:D

Thanks Jimm, Jess gave me the marriage info and Mary pointed out the CWGC site. Between the two there was enough information to warrant me ordering the marriage certificate. Especially as my grand aunt Ada (Nellie’s Sister) was married at Four Ashes.
I will let you know when the certificate arrives.
