Hi, I'm trying to find the marriage record for the following:
Edward Evans b. c.1799 in Aberhafesb, Montgomeryshire. d. 24 Feb 1873 in Pant Glas, Llanwyddelan, Montgomeryshire.
Spouse: Grace (surname unknown), b. c.1809 in Llanwyddelan, Montgomeryshire. d. 25 Feb 1879 in The Pant (presumably aka Pant Glas), Llanwyddelan, Montgomeryshire.
Married on 28 Nov 1833 in Llanwyddelan, Montgomeryshire.
Maybe it's me, but Ancestry's England & Wales Marriages, 1538-1940 database search seems to ignore the date and location and just looks for the name, which returns hundreds of records! What are the chances of being able to find a pre-1837 marriage without spending hours going through parish records or buying credits at another site? Or am I just being impatient? Any tips would be appreciated.
