  • William Hart Smith

    Hello all

I wonder if anybody can find any info on William Hart Smith's kids?

I know he had a son named William Robert Smith (c1792-1869) who attended Christ Hospital school in London.

Im hoping to find a child named Margaret Smith born to him.

    Any help would be great.

    Regards

    Danny

I only know that William Hart Smith married Hannah Woodman 1796-09-28 at St. Mary's Lambeth, England.

Their son William Robert Smith was a part of the Hudson bay company in Canada.

My 6xGrt Grandparents Peter Pruden and Margaret Pruden nee Smith had a son named John Peter Pruden was big in the HBC and when William R Smith came ashore it stated in the books that he was a relative of Mr Pruden.

William went onto have loads of kids and named two of them Edgar Edward Harriott Smith (Harriott was family to Prude aswell and also worked for HBC) and Rupert Pruden Smith.

Im trying to finf the link.

            Hi danny

Just been looking on the new LMA records and found this marriage for a William Hart Smith in 1791 to a Martha Marshall in St Leonards Shoreditch

Also found a Death entry for the same man in the year of 1839 giving a est' birth year of 1764 tand teh residence was Millers Court Aldermanbury.

Would these dates be connected to your man?

              Hi

On checking the 1841 census for Aldermanbury there is a Martha smith age 77 living at the address shown as a pauper
