  • Anyone fancy a go at dating this?

This is from Providence Place, Southwark. My ancestors lived at no's 14,15 17 and 18 in 1851 and I wondered if these could be them.

The picture is copyright London Metropolitan Archives, originally from a postcard, published in the ParishRegisters.com newsletter. (Hope it is OK to reproduce it here.)

Well I'm by no means an expert Pete, but personally, I would think they may be some time later than 1851......1880's perhaps!
Let's see what others think.....plenty of more knowledgeable peeps around.

Hi Pete, the picture is a bit small, but there seem to be some ladies with pompadour type hair styles and some with full sleeves, so I would say that the picture was taken at the very end of the 19th century, hope this is of some help....
