British Army in N Ireland and Cyprus in the 50s

Does anyone know how I could find the name of a serving soldier from this period. I am pretty sure he married a Belfast girl and they divorced, but nothing comes up in ordinary searches.

Ordinary searches of what? I don't think you'd be able to access any service records. A lot would depend on where he married/divorced.
