I have a relation on the Great War death lists, who's record reads:

What do they mean theatre of war Aldershot??

I've heard its due to the transcribing.... a lot of them have "Aldershot" when they should'nt have.

Have you his details from the Commonwealth War Graves site? if he is the Son of Rosa and Dennis Poole, of 16, King's Walk, Malmesbury, Wilts then his details are there and you can print off a certificate and information about the cemetery too.
He is buried at AIRE COMMUNAL CEMETERY in France which is near St Omer.

Val I requested an e-mail photo cost £3 and it came very soon after I paid via paypal. My ancestor was one who has no known grave so his name is on the memorial at Ploegsteert in Belgium.
I actually received 4 photos, 1 showing the whole memorial, 1 the tablet his name is on, 1 showing his name among others for his regiment and 1 very close up of his name.
I must say I'm very impressed with the service.
I'd put them up here to let you see but I think it would breach copywrite.
