    what does it say in the condition space it doesnt seem to say Widow or unmarried?? Thanks

            Christine and Elaine are we looking at the same thing, I looke at the census record on FMP and it looks like UN to me!!!!!!



            Sorry was looking at Elizabeth and not Jane lol, Elaine and Christine were right

                Unusual, maybe, but not extremely so. I've certainly seen it before.

                Divorce was extremely difficult until really quite recently. Nigh on impossible in the 19th century.
