Can someone date these photo's please?

I was thinking around WWI due to the suit, just needed confirmation.
My great grandfather is on the left but I'm trying to work out if that is his father on the right who died in 1929. Is this likely to be his father?

Your first image shows a corporal in battle dress uniform from the period of between 1944 to the mid 1955's as this was when the 1949 pattern was worn by all troops in the British army.

The second one could be 1920s. Men are so difficult to date!
Someone more knowledgeable than me might pick up on the rounded, small shirt collars. That must be a dateable thing
