Is the common ancestor your 5xgt gdfather & her 2xgt grandfather?

If so, is it third cousin, three times removed?

Her 2 x grandad and my 4x grandad were brothers

So you need to go back one more generation to find the communal ancestor.

If you're saying your gt-gt-gt-gt-gt gdfather and her gt-gt-gt grandfather is the same person, I think you are fourth cousins, twice removed.

you = 3rd cousin 3 times removed of Eliza Jane
