  • 1901 Wales census look up please

Now have found JAMES BRYANT in 1911, given clues as to where might be in 1901.

James born in Dulverton, Devon. Dulverton later came under Somerset.

Birth reg 1856 but in 1911 birth year given as 1853

In 1891 census, he was living with family in Pontypridd: Ystradyfodwg, Glamorgan. Birth year then 1857 and b/place Devon.

He appears to have married Gwenllian Howells in 3/1901 at Bridgend, Glam. Her birth year is 1852 and b/place Merthyr Vale (Tydfil). She is called Gwen in 1911 census.

With any luck, they have married in time for the 1901 census.
He is not with his family in 1901 in Pontypridd.

His occupation was Coal Miner in 1991 and in 1911. In 1911, his address was:

2 Greenhill Terr, Heol Laethog, Bryncethin, Bridgend, Glamorgan.

Can anyone find him for me and if so, mail me the image of 1901 census?

    Many thanks.
    Liz

      Thank you - mailing now.

Update - thanks so much. Everything right except his place of birth. Guess the person filling it in didn't know and just put down the same as rest of family. Lucky Gwen staying with relatives to reveal her maiden name...oooh and just seen the address is right for the 1911 census.

      Well done!
