  • Help with finding Amy please

Please may I have some help to find Amy ? nee Fish before 1871 census?

This is what I have so far:

    1871 census: RG10; Piece: 2431; Folio: 79; Page: 27 Frome, Somerset

    James Fish 1812 Sharrington, Norfolk
    Margaret Agnes Fish 60
    Margaret Fish 30
    Emma Fish 19
Anny Haston - sister Amy, widow c1809, Sharrington Norfolk

Amy is not with her brother's (James) family before 1871, I have him on all census.

There is a possible death in Frome for an Amy Horton in 1896 Mar Q Frome vol 5c page 313, birth year c1811
    - if this is her death, I have a possible sighting in 1891: RG12; Piece: 1907; Folio 23; Page 6 living on her own at 6 Butts Hill, Frome. bn Norwich, Norfolk

I've searched census pre 1871 for any Amy's born c1809 +/- 5years in Sharrington or anywhere in Norfolk but not coming up with anything that looks possible.

I'd be grateful if someone could take a look, thankyou.

I think you have the correct person Sue. This looks like her in 1881. Like you I can't find her prior to 1871. Could she possibly have been married before?
