.. the occupation of James Hayes on the 1841 census please. They are on the right side of the page. I think it says Linen something?! Class: HO107; Piece 35; Book: 2

I think it says linen m. M is an abbreviation for maker.

To be fair, the info above does give a unique solution on Ancestry.
It looks like "Linen Ac"! I'll have a browse thro' some of the other pages, to see if that suggests for what "Ac" might be an abbreviation.
