easy question (if you know the answer!)

When we start our comp we get a screen which says

To begin, click user name

We haven't got separate user names and would like to bypass this stage. I think it's possible because we didn't have it on the lappy but can't remember how to do it.

Help please? XP btw

Hubby seems to remember that it's in the user accounts in the Control panel (he thinks lol).

Start > Run > control userpasswords2

Untick "users must enter a username and password"

:( tried that and a box comes up saying "windows cannot find userpasswords2. make sure you typed the name correctly... " etc.

It's not a big deal, just a little bit annoying lol.

Then go to Control Panel and choose User Accounts. That should bring up that box.

:D sorted! I looked at some of the replies to the tread and it was suggested to type "control userpasswords2". Seems to have done the trick when the screen saver comes on so assume it will be gone when signing in.
