I am trying to find out about both of my grandads but having no luck
Baker Harry married to Julia Skinner
Kemp William Henry the younger married to Clare Alice Mannering october 1927
both from Kent when they married
If any one can shed any light I would be so grateful

The marriage cert. will gives fathers name and occupation.

If you haven't already done so they you need to get both marriage certificates - they will give the ages of bride and groom, as well as their father's name and occupation. These should hopefully help you trace birth registrations

I see there is an entry for a William Kemp from Sevenoaks, could this be his father? I reckon the only way to find your GF would be to order the marriage cert to be certain you aren't climbing someone else's tree.
