  • Is there any hope for this?

If someone could do something with this, I would be so so grateful.

Is this any use to you, Debbie?

Thank you Beverly. Can anyone tell me if this the best I can get from this picture?

I've had a quick look and it's quite pixellated when enlarged for restoration

If you could do a better scan (ie at 300dpi and at 100% scale at least) then it would certainly be easier on the restorers' eyes and, hopefully, more detail would be visible.

Here's a link to the 'How To Guides' (scanning)

How to Scan Photos - Family Tree Forum

and if you upload to Photobucket, please ensure that the file size option is set to the maximum.

For the free account that is 1 Megabyte and should look something like this

        .
~ FOR PHOTO RESTORATIONS PLEASE SCAN AT A RESOLUTION OF 300-600 WITH THE SCALE AT 100% MINIMUM ~ http://restoreandcolour.brainwaving.co.uk

Unfortunately, I don't have the original to this picture, and neither does the person I got the picture from. Thanks for the info though Rachel. The picture looks better than it did anyway.

I've had a go at this for you Debbie but I don't know if you were hoping to get prints from it or not, only when I checked it in the gallery, I think the two boys at either end may get chopped off because of the dimensions.
If this is the case, I can always chop the picture for you so that you get two separate groups.

Thank you very much Jen, they look much better than before. Sorry about the quality of the scan, it's how I received the pic.
