Is it possible to get recent death certs ?

how would you go about getting a death cert from within the last 2 years ??? if you arent sure exactly when and where ????????????

If the death hasn't made it to the GRO index (which can take around 18 months from the date of the event) then you would have to apply to the local register office where the death occurred. If you don't know where that was, then I guess you're stuck - you may need to wait until it is indexed by the GRO.

But with recent deaths I think you have to know the date of death. The official site says if the event was less than 18 months ago you should apply to the local register office.
